Population Survey

A key aim of the ABIDA project is to explore the level of knowledge of the population about Big Data.

The population survey is one of the methods used in the ABIDA project to approach the knowledge among citizens and to gain insights into the population’s attitudes, opinions, concerns, etc. about the subject.

The population survey cuts across the other methods of the project, which include various elements that enable the participation of industry experts, professionals and citizens. The results of the population survey will deepen the knowledge gained from the other dialogue processes. For example, it will be possible to compare the findings of the population survey with the results of the discussions at the citizens’ consultations, since especially the latter can only reflect some segments of public opinion. The population survey will thus improve the scientific quality of the project, allowing systematic investigation of citizens’ opinions, attitudes and knowledge around the topic of Big Data.
